Dhaka Bureau: Court granted 5-day remand of former Public Administration Minister Farhad Hossain. Dhaka Additional Metropolitan Magistrate Chanaullah gave the order on Sunday (September 15).
On this day, the investigating officer of the case brought him to the court and applied for a 7-day remand. After the hearing, the court granted a 5-day remand.
Earlier, RAB arrested Farhad Hossain from the Iskaton area of the capital on Saturday night in the capital’s Adabar police station case. Later, he was handed over to the Adabar police station.
On August 22, Rafiqul Islam, father of garment worker Rubel, filed the case at Adabar police station as the plaintiff.
In the statement of the case, the plaintiff complained that on August 5, Rubel took part in the protest march of the students on the ring road of Adabar. At that time, the defendants were fired in the procession with direct and indirect instruction, instigation, help, cooperation, and direct support. Rubel was shot in the chest and stomach. He died on August 7 while undergoing treatment in the hospital.
