Own Correspondent: The identity of the body hanging from the tree branch in Lohagara has not been found. The police recovered the body of this young man, who is at least 30 years old, at 8:30 pm on Saturday, August 31. His body was hanging from the branch of a wood tree near the Chittagong-Cox’s Bazar highway in the Khalek shop area of the Amirabad Union of the upazila.
Locals saw the hanging body of this young man at 7:30 p.m. The police recovered the body after receiving the news. In this regard, a case of wrongful death has been registered at Lohagara police station. The body has been sent to Chittagong Medical College Hospital morgue for post-mortem.
It was not immediately possible to know whether this young man committed suicide by hanging or was killed and hanged. No one came to the police station to inquire about this young man on Sunday, September 1. The cause of death is not known. Lohagara police said that the cause of death of this young man will be known only after receiving the autopsy report.
