Entertainment Desk: Actress Rokeya Prachi has been dismissed from the post of Vice President of the Television Program Producers Association of Bangladesh (Telepab). The organization has taken this decision due to indiscipline.
The organization’s president Sajjad Hossain Dodul and joint general secretary Ashraful Alam Bablu confirmed the matter to the media on Monday (August 26) afternoon.
When asked about the reason for the exemption, Sajjad Hossain Dodul said that the matter will be officially informed in the media very soon. Details are not yet available. But he will have general membership in the organization.
When contacted to find out whether anything has been reported regarding the exemption from the organization, Rokeya Wally’s phone was found to be switched off.
Telepab’s bi-annual conference was held at Banani Club in the capital on June 8. A new committee was announced with Adnan-Dodul as president and general secretary for the period 2024–26. Rokeya Prachi was in charge of the vice president of this committee.
Rokeya Prachi collected the Awami League’s nomination papers from the reserved women seat (Feni-3) in the 12th National Assembly elections. However, he did not get the nomination from the party. Rokeya Prachi has been associated with Awami League politics for a long time. He has been playing an active role in various activities of the party.
