The Crime Desk: Authorities have announced the closure of all missionary schools and colleges in Dhaka’s Nababganj Upazila for an indefinite period. This directive was announced in a circular signed by Archbishop Vijay N. D’Cruz, OMI, Head of Dhaka Mahadharma Province and Catholic Practice and Organization on Saturday.
According to the notification, in the ongoing unexpected and unpleasant situation, a chaotic and unstable environment has been created among the administration, teachers, current and former students, and parents regarding various issues related to the teachers and schools of the educational institutions run by Catholic practices and organizations.
In this situation, all educational institutions of primary, lower secondary, secondary, and higher secondary levels of Nawabganj Upazila run by Catholic practices will be closed for an indefinite period until the various demands and misunderstandings of the students are resolved. The institutions will be opened by solving the problem quickly, subject to discussions with all parties.
Nawabganj Upazila executive officer Kamrul Hasan Sohel said, I have come to know about the matter. Steps will be taken to start the schools as soon as possible.
