Nagar Reporter: Complaints have been filed in the International Criminal Tribunal against 77 people, including former Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina, in connection with the murder, massacre, and torture of the anti-discrimination student movement in Chittagong in July.
Zakir Hossain, the father of Faisal Ahmed, who was killed in Chittagong, filed this complaint at the investigation agency of the International Crimes Tribunal in Dhaka’s Dhanmondi on Wednesday. In the same case, former bridge minister Obaidul Quader, former interior minister Asaduzzaman Khan Kamal, former education minister barrister Mohibul Hasan Chowdhury Naufel, former foreign minister Dr. Hashan Mahmud, Chhatra League President Saddam Hossain, General Secretary Sheikh Wali Asif Inan, Chittagong City Awami League President Mahtab Uddin Ahmed, General Secretary AJM Nashir Uddin, former City Mayor Rezaul Karim Chowdhury, and former Member of Parliament Abu Reza Muhammad Nezamuddin Nadvi were also accused. .
According to Section 8 of the International Criminal Tribunal Act, 1973, a request has been made to investigate and take legal action against the accused. The accused are charged with genocide and crimes against humanity under Sections 3(2) and 4(1)/4(2) of the International Criminal Tribunal Act, 1973.
