The Crime Desk: The sudden flood situation has become severe in the Feni, Noakhali, and Comilla regions of Bangladesh. The Bangladesh Water Development Board (PUBO) has opened a control room to monitor floods, collect data, and disseminate forecast news of rivers in the northeastern, eastern, and southeastern basins of the country.

Besides, the Ministry of Water Resources has canceled the leave of all the officials and employees of the North-Eastern Departments of the Bangladesh Water Development Board until further orders.
Nine districts of the country have been affected by flash floods caused by landslides and rains. Most of the people of these districts are in trouble due to knee-to-waist level water in their houses. All rural roads and croplands have been submerged in the flood water. Ponds and farm fish have been washed away.
The flood-affected districts are Feni, Sunamganj, Moulvibazar, Habiganj, Comilla, Noakhali, Chittagong, Laxmipur, and Khagrachari.
