According to local sources, a luxury car numbered from Khagrachari (Dhaka Metro D-15.7630) was coming towards Guimara Bazaar. When the vehicle reached the joint farm area of the upazila, a group of miscreants on the way fired several rounds. At that time, two people, including the driver in the car, ran away for their lives, but the miscreants set the car on fire.
However, although there is no exact information about the people who escaped from the car, it is believed to be the car of the former MP from Khagrachari, Minister of State for Chittagong Hill Tracts Affairs Kujendra Lal Tripura.
