Earlier, the High Court granted bail to Aslam Chowdhury in the sedition case. However, the bail of Aslam Chowdhury was suspended for a long time due to the application of the state party.
On May 26, 2016, the police filed a sedition case against Aslam Chowdhury on charges of ‘conspiracy to overthrow the government’. He was arrested and sent to jail in that case.
