The Crime Desk: A case has been filed against 73 people, including Abu Reza Muhammad Nezam Uddin Nadvi, a former member of parliament of the Awami League from Satkania-Lohagara constituency. During the anti-discrimination student movement, the case was filed on the charges of shooting, vandalizing shops, and destroying state property.
Son of Sirajul Islam of Jangal Padua area of the Padua Union of Upazila filed the case in Chittagong Chief Judicial Magistrate (CJM) court on Sunday. Jahed. After taking the statement of the plaintiff, the judge took cognizance of the application and ordered it to be admitted as evidence.
In the case, Lohagara Upazila Awami League President Khorshed Alam Chowdhury, General Secretary Md. 73 people, including Salah Uddin Hiru, and President of Upazila Swachhasevak League Ridwanul Haque Sujan were made accused.
Advocate Imtiaz Reza Chowdhury Nishan, lawyer of Chittagong Judge Court, said that the court has ordered the officer-in-charge (OC) of Lohagara police station to take the case into consideration.
