Shahid Ishmam’s brother got a job in the student movement

The Crime Desk: The elder brother of Ishmamul Haque, son of Lohagara, Chittagong, who was killed in the anti-discrimination student movement, has been given a government job. Chittagong Deputy Commissioner Abul Basar Mohammad Fakhruzzaman gave the appointment letter to Chittagong Zoo Office Assistant to Muhib on Wednesday morning.

At that time, Lohagara Upazila executive officer Inamul Hashan and district administration officials were present.

Last Monday afternoon, Chittagong Deputy Commissioner Abul Basar Mohammad Fakhruzzaman went to the house of the deceased Ishmam in Darjipara of Amirabad Union of Lohagara Upazila and met his family and assured his brother of employment by providing financial assistance.

He also announced that the unpaved road of his house will be paved in memory of Ishmam, who died in the anti-discrimination student movement, and the road will be named after Ishmam.

On August 5, 17-year-old Ishmamul Haque was shot dead during the ‘March to Dhaka’ march of the anti-discrimination student movement in Dhaka’s Chawkbazar area. His colleagues immediately rescued him and took him to Dhaka Medical College Hospital.

The next day, on August 6, around 11 p.m., his condition deteriorated, and he was shifted to the intensive care unit. He died on August 7 around 4:30 pm while undergoing treatment.
