Incidentally, it was decided to ban Jamaat camps in the country in a meeting of 14 parties organized under the leadership of Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina last Monday evening. It was also decided in this meeting that the Ministry of Home Affairs and Law will implement the ban. After Monday’s meeting, Awami League General Secretary Obaidul Quader said that BNP-Jamaat is involved in a conspiracy to make the country ineffective through anarchy. In order to eliminate anti-national evil forces in the national interest, it was unanimously decided to ban Jamaat-Shibir in the meeting of 14 parties.
Rashed Khan Menon, president of the alliance leader Workers Party, said that the government will quickly implement the decision to ban Jamaat-Shibir.
Another alliance leader and Chairman of the Tariqat Federation, Najibul Bashar Maizbhandari, said that if Jamaat-Shibir is banned, they will not be able to hold press conferences or any other political program.
