Rangunia Correspondent: Autorickshaw driver Vijay Lal Acharya (47) died after being injured in a head-on collision between a cargo truck and a CNG-powered autorickshaw in Rangunia.
He died while undergoing treatment at Chittagong Medical College Hospital around 11:30 a.m. on Monday, July 15. Relatives have confirmed this. Before this, Mir Md., a passenger named Hossain (55) died on the spot.
According to public representatives, police, and eyewitnesses, it is said that a freight truck from Rangunia was going towards Chittagong city on the Chittagong-Rangamati road on Sunday (July 14). On the way, there was a head-on collision with an autorickshaw coming from the opposite direction when he reached the Kardachhari area of Rangunia.
Passenger Mir died on the spot. Hussain. At this time, autorickshaw driver Vijay Lal and two other unidentified passengers were seriously injured. The injured were sent to Chittagong Medical College Hospital. Injured Vijay Lal died in Chittagong Medical College Hospital on Monday morning.
Rangunia Police Station Officer-in-Charge (OC) Chandan Kumar Chakraborty said that after the road accident, the police went to the spot and carried out rescue work. A case has been filed under the Road Accident Act at the police station regarding the accident.
