Dhaka Bureau: Home Minister Asaduzzaman Khan Kamal has commented that students are agitating about the quota without understanding. He said that no matter how many ultimatums students give to file a case, the investigation will continue against them. The case has been filed on merit.

He said this at a discussion meeting organized by the Narcotics Control Directorate on the occasion of the International Day Against Drug Abuse and Illegal Trafficking at Shilpakala Academy in the capital on Sunday (July 14).

The minister said that before the investigation, it could not be understood who was inciting them. There are instigators in the movement. Students are doing what they are doing without realizing it.

He said that the students are protesting about the quota without understanding it. The quota movement has its instigators. Students are being misled. The case filed in Thursday’s incident will be decided after an investigation.

Meanwhile, the agitating students left for Bangabhaban with the pre-announced Ganapadayatra for the one-point demand of a logical reform of the quota in government jobs. The policemen barricaded them around this program at the zero point of the capital. Unable to move forward, they sat there. At one point, they broke the barricade and headed towards Bangavabhan.
