Anwara correspondent: Anwara was attacked by miscreants. A fish trader named Jalal (37) died. The incident took place on Sunday (July 14) around six in the morning at Manu Miar Dighi in Barkhain Union of the upazila.
Son of deceased Altaf Munsi of Zuidandi Union of Anwara Upazila. Jalal is a fishmonger by profession.
Deputy Inspector (SI) of Anwara police station Zainal Abedin told the media that Jalal was going to the Dighi intersection of Kala Bibi with a fish cart.
The miscreants on the street attacked him with sharp weapons and ran away. Later, the police went to the spot with the help of locals, rescued him, and sent him to Chittagong Medical College Hospital.
Chamek Hospital police outpost in-charge Nurul Alam Ashek said that a man named Jalal was brought to the hospital with stab wounds. After the examination, the doctor on duty declared him dead.
