Chandnaish Correspondent: The mayor and chairmen of Chandnaish of Chittagong forgot the dilemma and promised to work together with Jasim Uddin Ahmed, Chairman of Chandnaish Upazila. On July 3 (Wednesday), from morning to noon, they joined the first monthly coordination meeting held in the video conference room of the upazila.
It is to be noted that 2 municipal mayors and 8 UP chairmen boycotted the first coordination meeting organized on June 24 of the sixth upazila parishad on the pretext of making adverse comments against the newly elected upazila chairman. Due to the quorum crisis, the meeting was adjourned and reconvened on July 3. The minutes of the meeting were completed under the chairmanship of Upazila Parishad Chairman Alhaj Jasim Uddin Ahmed and Upazila Executive Officer Mahmuda Begum.
At this time, the mayor of Chandanish municipality was present. At this time, the president of the meeting, Jasim Uddin Ahmed, sought the cooperation of all the mayors of Chandnaish upazila in the overall development of the upazila parishad and public welfare activities. He called for unity to forget all doubts and work together. Later, the mayor and chairmen greeted the newly elected Upazila Parishad Chairman, Alhaj Mohammad Jasimuddin Ahmed, and welcomed him with flowers. The mayor and chairmen said that they will conduct activities together in the normal environment of law and order and overall development activities in Chandanish Upazila.
