Dhaka Bureau: Director (Development Control-2) of the Capital Development Authority (Rajuk) is accused of acquiring assets outside of known income. The Anti-Corruption Commission (ACC) filed a case against Mubarak Hossain and his wife, Sahana Parveen.
Two separate cases were registered at the ACC’s integrated district office, Dhaka-1, on Tuesday. Asif Al Mahmud, Assistant Director of ACC Head Office, is the plaintiff in both cases.
Only Mubarak was accused in one case. According to the statement of assets filed with the ACC, he has acquired assets inconsistent with known sources of income amounting to Tk 41 lakh 46 thousand 845.
Sahana is the main accused in the other case. Swami Mubarak is the second defendant. It is said in the statement of the case that Sahana and Mubarak acquired known non-income assets worth Tk 1 crore, 58 lakh, 73 thousand, and 152 by cooperating with each other.
In both declarations, it has been said that if any other involvement is found during the investigation of the case, it will be taken into account.
