It is reported that a 4-member committee will inspect the elevated expressway under implementation in Chittagong tomorrow, Tuesday (July 02) morning.
It should be noted that Mayor Mohiuddin Chowdhury’s CDA Expressway—the – Elevated expressway construction from Lalkhan Bazar in Chittagong City to Shah Amanat Airport—is nearing completion. According to the information regarding the elevated expressway, the implementation period of the project is from July 2017 to June 2024. Estimated Expenditure: 429895.11 (1st revised). The project director is Md. Mahfuzur Rahman, Executive Engineer (Project), CDA.
Construction of a 16.50 km long and 16.5 m wide flyover from Lalkhan Bazar of Chittagong city to Shah Amanat Airport to establish a direct connection of Chittagong port with Chittagong industrial area (Fouzdarhat industrial area, Nasirabad industrial area, and Kalurghat industrial area) and South Chittagong. It is also noted that on November 14, 2023, the Prime Minister partially inaugurated the elevated expressway through the newly constructed ramp from Seabeach to Tigerpass.
