Dhaka Bureau: Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina presented the National Primary Education Medal 2023. The Prime Minister presented the medal at a ceremony organized at the Osmani Memorial Auditorium in the capital on Thursday.
Farid Ahmed, Secretary of the Ministry of Primary and Mass Education, presided over the event. State Minister for Primary and Mass Education, Rumana Ali Tusi, spoke as a special guest.
The theme of this year’s National Primary Education Day is ‘Child-Friendly Primary Education: Initiation of Smart Bangladesh’.
In 2022, the primary education medal policy was increased to a total of 18 categories by adding some new medals at the individual and institutional levels. The main objective of awarding the Primary Education Medal is to develop the latent talent of the children to develop their own culture and self-development, gain self-reliance, and expose their country’s culture by participating in national and international competitions.
The Secretary of the Ministry of Primary and Mass Education, Farid Ahmed, said yesterday that 126 people in 18 categories will be given the National Primary Education Medal. Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina will give this medal to 54 people in the ceremony. Medals will be delivered to the rest.
