Bandarban Correspondent: The driver of a cargo truck lost control and fell into a 2,000-foot-deep ditch on Jeevannagar Road in Thanchi, Bandarban. Four more people were injured in this incident. This incident happened on Friday around 8:30 p.m..
Law enforcement forces and locals said that a BRTC truck carrying BGB tiles on its way from Bandarban to Thanchi lost control and fell into a 2,000-foot-deep ditch when it reached the Jeevan Nagar area. The driver of the truck was killed on the spot. The victim’s name was not immediately known.
Four more people were injured in this incident. Police and fire service personnel rescued the injured and sent them to Bandarban Sadar Hospital with the help of locals.
Confirming the matter, Assistant Director of Bandarban Fire Service Purnachandra Mutsuddi said that the injured have been sent to Bandarban Sadar Hospital for treatment.
