While inspecting the grounds of Jamiatul Falah Mosque on Saturday, the mayor said that the Jamiatul Falah Eidgah ground is fully prepared for the central Eid congregation of Chittagong. This time in the morning, at 7.30 (seven thirty) and 8.15 (a quarter past eight), two congregations have arranged namaz.
There will be enough fans and Samantha for the convenience of the worshippers. For performing ablution, water has been arranged in additional cars in addition to the ablutions of the mosque. There are enough trained members of the law and order forces with CCTV monitoring for security. Besides, Eid congregations will be held in the wards under the supervision of ward councilors.
“The drains around the mosque have been cleaned so that prayers are not disturbed by normal rains. However, if the water rises due to abnormal rain, the congregation will be held inside the mosque. Besides, we have constructed an Eidgah where Eid prayers can be offered in Muhammadpur of Muradpur.”
Stating that adequate preparations have been made for cleaning the waste of sacrifices, the mayor said, “We have made preparations to make the city free of wastes of sacrifices within seven hours.” Polythene will be provided for collecting animal pulses. Besides, we had a meeting with the leather traders. I hope this time the skin will not be damaged and the environment will be destroyed.”
Panel Mayor Gias Uddin and Councilor Abul Hasnat were also present. Belal, Abdus Salam Masum, and the mayor’s private secretary, Abul Hashem.
This year, the first and main congregation of Eid-ul-Azha will be held at 7:30 a.m. and the second congregation at 8:30 a.m. at Jamiatul Falah Mosque, under the supervision of Chasik. Besides, Eid congregations will be held at 7:30 a.m. in nine mosques under the supervision of the City Corporation.
The mosques are respectively Laldighi City Corporation Shahi Jame Masjid, Hazrat Sheikh Farid (RA) Chashma Eidgah Mosque, Sugandha Residential Area Jame Masjid, Chawkbazar City Corporation Jame Masjid, Jahoor Hawkers Market Jame Masjid, South Khulshi (VIP) Residential Area Jame Masjid, and Arefin Nagar. Central Cemetery Jame Masjid, Sagarika Garubazar Jame Masjid, and Ma Ayesha Siddiqui Chasik Jame Masjid (adjacent to Sagarika Zahoor Ahmad Chowdhury Stadium).
Also, one main Eid Jamaat will be held in each of the 41 wards of the city under the supervision of the respective ward councilors in their respective mosques or idgahs.
