17 Bangladeshi pilgrims died in Saudi Arabia.

The Crime Desk: 17 Bangladeshis have died since the start of Hajj flights this year. Among them were 15 men and 2 women.

The Hajj portal bulletin informed us that Sufia Akhtar (62) of Kishoreganj district and Shaha Alam (77) of Comilla district died on June 12. Earlier, the first Bangladeshi died in the current Hajj season on May 15.

Meanwhile, 85 thousand 129 pilgrims have reached Saudi Arabia in 217 flights from Bangladesh so far. Out of this, Biman operates 105 flights for Bangladesh Airlines, 75 for Saudi Airlines, and 37 for Flinus Airlines.

So far, 217 flights have gone to Saudi Arabia with Haj pilgrims. Among them are 105 of Biman Bangladesh Airlines, 75 of Saudi Airlines, and 37 of Flynas Airlines.

On May 9, the first dedicated flight of Bangladesh Airlines departed for Saudi Arabia with 415 pilgrims. With this, the official journey of this year’s Hajj begins. It will end on June 12.

Hajj will be held on June 16, subject to moon sightings. The first return flight of pilgrims will start on June 20 and end on July 22.
