Dhaka Bureau: Chief Election Commissioner (CEC) Kazi Habibul Awal commented that if the national elections are organized step by step, the elections can be made more fair.
He made this comment after a meeting with the delegation of Transparency International Bangladesh (TIB) at the meeting room of the election building in Agargaon on Sunday (June 2).
CEC said we have asked TIB to form public opinion on whether the national elections can be conducted step by step or not. Because if the election can be organized step by step, it can be made more fair. Because then more law enforcement forces can be deployed. It will be possible to deploy more polling agents. It is never possible for the Election Commission alone to make the election fair, free, fair, and impartial. To do this requires the cooperation of all political parties.
Earlier, a delegation of Transparency International Bangladesh (TIB) held a meeting with the election commissioners in the meeting room of the Chief Election Commissioner at the Agargaon Election Building at 11:30 a.m..
Executive Director on behalf of TIB. A total of five people participated, including Iftekharuzzaman.
