Dhaka Bureau: Chief Advisor of the National Journalist Association and Central President of the Bangabandhu Research Council, Lion Md. Gani Mia Babul, said that it is important to unite to ensure the safety and professional dignity of journalists. There is no alternative to the professional unity of journalists in establishing the rule of law and democracy. Freedom of media and the safety of journalists are essential to establishing democracy.
He also said that a strong media is essential to ensuring strong democracy and human rights. He urged everyone to work together to ensure the freedom of the press and the safety of journalists.
He said these things at the extended meeting of the Central Executive Council of the National Journalists’ Association at the ERF Auditorium of Paltan Tower in the capital on Saturday morning, May 25.
