On Saturday morning, a colorful procession was taken out and a discussion meeting was held at the Sadar Thana area after the circuit of the main road of the city. Speakers in the event said – community policing is the mirror of changing society. Through this crime can be prevented before it happens. In the speech of the chief guest at the event organized on the occasion of “Community Policing Day-2022”, Superintendent of Police Md. Tariqul Islam called upon the general public to come forward to fight crime and said that if the community police is strengthened, people can be given security. If small disputes can be resolved at the source, there is no need to file a case at the police station.
Deputy Director of Bandarban District Commissioner Office Md. Lutfur Rahman, Mayor Mohammad Islam Bebi, Additional Superintendent of Police Md. Nazim Uddin, Reza Sarwar, Additional Superintendent of Police (APBN) Badiuzzaman, Additional Superintendent of Police (In-Service) Nurul Abshar spoke as special guests on the occasion. , Assistant Superintendent of Police Chalah Uddin, Zilla Parishad member Lakshi Pad Das, Councilor Md. Omar Farooq, Officer-in-Charge of Sadar Police Station Md. SM Shahidul Islam. The program was conducted by the newly appointed Additional Superintendent of Police Md. Jahangir.
Both were later awarded crests and certificates for their various contributions to community policing services.
