Prime Minister’s press conference on Thailand visit today

Dhaka Bureau: Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina will hold a press briefing on the outcome of her recent visit to Thailand on Thursday (May 2).

A press release from the Prime Minister’s Press Wing said, “This press conference will be held at 11:30 am on Thursday at his official residence, Gana Bhaban.”

The Prime Minister returned home from Bangkok on April 29 after a six-day official visit to Thailand.

During the visit, Sheikh Hasina held a bilateral meeting with Thai Prime Minister Shretha Thavisin at Government House (the Thai Prime Minister’s Office). At the end of the meeting, five bilateral documents were signed between Bangladesh and Thailand on visa waivers, energy cooperation, tourism and customs issues, and free trade agreement (FTA) negotiations in the presence of the two leaders.

Besides, the Prime Minister of Bangladesh paid a courtesy call on Thailand’s King Maha Vajiralongkorn Phra Vajira-Klaucha-Uuya and Queen Suthida Vajrasudha-Bimala-Lakshan at Amphorn Southern Throne Hall of Dusit Palace.

Also, he addressed the 80th session of the United Nations Economic and Social Commission for Asia and the Pacific (UNSCAP) at the United Nations Conference Center in Bangkok.
