Own Correspondent: Three coaches of a special train (Eid Special) from Chittagong to Cox’s Bazar derailed. In this case, rail communication on Cox’s Bazar-Chittagong route is closed.
The derailment took place on Wednesday (April 24) around 10 a.m. in Dulahajara, Chakaria upazila. However, no casualties were reported.
Cox’s Bazar Iconic Railway Station Master Md. Golam Rabbani confirmed this information.
He said that the special train left Chittagong for Cox’s Bazar around 7 a.m. The train derailed with a loud noise at Dulahazara of Chakaria upazila around 10 a.m. Cox’s Bazar railway communication with Chittagong was stopped.
The Chittagong rescue train has been informed. The station worker said that only after the train reaches the spot and completes the repair work will the rail communication be normal on that route. Golam Rabbani
