The Crime Desk: Bangladesh Railways sold tickets for the Eid trip till Tuesday (April 9) on Wednesday (April 10) as Eid-ul-Fitr. However, since the moon of the month of Shawwal was not sighted on Tuesday, the railways will sell train tickets for the Eid trip on Wednesday as well.
When asked about this, Dhaka station manager Mohammad Masud Sarwa told the news that Wednesday’s train tickets can be collected from both online and station counters. He also said that passengers can collect tickets at their own convenience.
Mohammad Masud Sarwar said that since Eid is on April 11, the closed inter-city train tickets for April 10 and 12 will be sold simultaneously online and at the counter starting at 9 p.m. on Tuesday.
Earlier, advance ticket sales started on March 25 and ended on March 31. And return ticket sales through the website and mobile app started on April 3, which will continue until April 10.
