Dhaka Bureau: Bangladesh Railway has started selling advance train tickets to return to Dhaka after celebrating the holy Eid-ul-Fitr on April 3. Advance tickets for April 18 are on sale today.
Tickets went on sale online on Monday (April 8) morning.
Ticket sales for all intercity trains in the western zone will start at 8 a.m., and tickets for the eastern zone will be issued at 2 p.m..
In addition, 25 percent of tickets will be available from the originating station on the day of travel at the request of passengers. A passenger can purchase a maximum of four tickets. This ticket is non-refundable.
Before this, Bangladesh Railway started selling the first advance tickets for the Eid trip on March 24. This advance ticket sale continued until March 30. On April 3, advance ticket sales for the Eid return journey began.
Meanwhile, the Bangladesh Railway Authority has already completed all preparations, including fire safety, to ensure the safe travel of the passengers.
