The President and Prime Minister pay respects at Bangabandhu’s tomb in Tungipara

Gopalganj Correspondent: The President paid tribute to Bangabandhu’s tomb in Tungipara, Gopalganj. Sahabuddin and Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina. After 10:30 a.m. on Sunday (March 17), first the President and then the Prime Minister paid their respects. Then they stood in silence for a while.

At this time, a guard of honor was provided by a smart team of three forces. Along with this, a sad tune is played in the background. Later, Surah Fatiha was recited, and special prayers were offered for the souls of Bangabandhu and his martyred family members.

After paying tribute, President Mohammad Sahabuddin signed the visitation book kept next to the Bangabandhu mausoleum. Then he returned to Dhaka.

Earlier, President Mohammad Sahabuddin and Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina left for Tungipara in the morning by helicopter. At 10:05 AM, the helicopter carrying the Prime Minister landed at the helipad adjacent to the Upazila Parishad. On reaching Bangabandhu’s tomb complex at 10:10, the activists greeted the Prime Minister. Meanwhile, the Prime Minister also responded to the greetings by shaking his hand. Later, the president reached Tungipara by helicopter at 10:20. Meanwhile, Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina welcomed President Mohammad Sahabuddin.

It is to be noted that before coming to Tungipara, the Prime Minister paid tribute to the portrait of the Father of the Nation at Dhanmondi on the occasion of Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman’s 104th birth anniversary and National Children’s Day at 7 a.m..
