Gaibandha Correspondent: RAB has seized 394 bottles of phensidyl kept inside gas cylinders in Gobindganj of Gaibandha. At the same time, two drug dealers named Rubel Hossain (28) and Yusuf Mandal Lebu (26) were arrested along with a private car and a motorcycle.
This information was informed in a press release signed by Mahmud Bashir Ahmed, squadron leader of RAB-13, Gaibandha camp, on Tuesday (March 12) afternoon.
The arrested Rubel Hossain is the son of Shah Jalal Mia of Madhya Gaddimari village of Hatibandha upazila of Lalmonirhat and Yusuf Mondal is the son of Abdus Samad Mondal of Nuniagari village of Palashbari upazila of Lebu Gaibandha.
According to the press release, an expedition team of the camp conducted an operation in the Hirkmod area of Gobindganj on Tuesday (March 12) in the early hours of the morning. Meanwhile, 394 bottles of phensidyl were seized from inside the gas cylinder of a private car and the businessmen were arrested.
In this regard, RAB-13, Gaibandha Camp Squadron Leader Mahmud Bashir Ahmed said that the arrested drug dealers have admitted to being involved in drug trade for a long time during the initial interrogation. An undercover investigation is underway against others involved in the incident.
