Dhaka Bureau: The driver of a truck carrying soil was injured by miscreants in Sabuj Bagh of the capital. The incident took place in the Amulya area around 5:30 a.m. on Sunday, March 10.
The name of the injured truck driver. Alam (48). He is undergoing treatment at Dhaka Medical College (DMC) Hospital. Alam is a resident of Chuniapara village in Naogaon Sadar Upazila.
It is known that the truck owner, Ghulam Farooq, brought the bullet that injured Alam to the hospital. They were going to the Amulia area from Malibagh in the morning by loading soil in a truck. On reaching the Amulya area, 7 to 8 people threw stones and broke the front glass of the truck. Later, the miscreants asked the driver to get out of the truck. If not, he threatens to shoot.
Truck owner Golam Farooq said that at one point, he and driver Alam got down from the truck and started running. Then the miscreants shot from behind. Truck driver Alam was shot in the right leg. Later, he brought him to Dhaka Medical College Hospital for treatment.
