Dhaka Bureau: The High Court ordered the closure of primary and secondary schools during the month of Ramadan. At the same time, the earlier notification to keep schools open has also been suspended.
The High Court gave this order on Sunday (March 10) afternoon.
Before this, on February 25, the lawyer wrote a writ in the High Court challenging the validity of the decision to keep primary and secondary schools open during Ramadan. Elias Ali Mandal. Primary and Mass Education Secretary, Education Secretary, Deputy Secretary Primary and Mass Education, Deputy Secretary Education, Director General (DG) of the Directorate of Primary Education, and Director of Child Welfare Trust have been made defendants in the writ.
The writ also sought a direction to close schools during the month of Ramzan until the ruling is settled.
