Comilla Correspondent: In the Comilla City Corporation by-election, there was an incident of firing at a polling station in Ward No. 19 of Comilla City. Two people were shot in this incident.
According to local sources, two people named Zahirul Ahmed and Tuhin, who were supported by the horse symbol, were shot near Munsi M. Ali High School Center in Ward No. 19 of Comilla City at 10 a.m..
Injured Zahirul and Tuhin were taken to Comilla Medical College with the help of locals.
Injured Zahir complained that when I was standing next to the polling camp, Sujan, a supporter of the Bus Marker Mahanagar Chhatra League leader, shot me and Tuhin in front of the police.
In this incident, Presiding Officer Hasan Ahmed Kamrul said that the incident happened outside the boundaries of the polling station. I have reported the matter to the magistrate.
In this regard, the returning officer, Farhad Hossain, said that, knowing the matter, necessary arrangements would be made.
