He said these things when expatriate journalists went to meet Major General Mohammad Ashikuzzaman, the ambassador of Bangladesh posted in Kuwait.
He said that in November 2021, the Kuwait Embassy issued a circular regarding the launch of the National Identity Card (NID) service. As a result, it is expected that this service will be launched this month.
The ambassador said that the technical support team and administration team are expected to arrive from Bangladesh on the 20th of this month and between the 24th and 29th. After that, the NID service can finally be launched.
The ambassador also said that in the meantime, the Kuwait Embassy has also completed some of the necessary work to launch the NID service.
He said that NID is very important in the lives of citizens. The long-term aspirations of Kuwaiti expatriates will be fulfilled this time. It is a great achievement for them as Bangladeshi citizens.
Ambassador Major General Mohammad Ashikuzzaman mentioned that this process should be completed before the NID service is launched.
