Own Correspondent: Another child died in a gas cylinder explosion in a cluster house of Rohingyas in Noakhali’s Bhasanchar. With this, the death toll has increased to 4.
The child died while undergoing treatment at Chittagong Medical College (CHMEC) hospital in the early hours of Wednesday (February 28). His name is Md. Sohail (5). The deceased child is the son of Azizul Haque of the Rohingya camp. Earlier, three children died in the incident.
According to hospital sources, a gas cylinder explosion occurred in a cluster house of Rohingyas in Vasanchar, Noakhali, last Saturday (February 24) evening. Seven people, including five children, were burned.
When they were quickly rescued and taken to Chittagong Medical College Hospital, the duty doctor of the emergency department declared a three-year-old child named Russell as dead. After that, three more children died while undergoing treatment.
Chittagong Medical College (CHAMEC) Hospital Police Outpost Assistant Sub Inspector (ASI) Nurul Alam Ashek confirmed the matter.
