Nagar Reporter: The leaders of the Chittagong Public Rights Training Center have demanded that the District Commissioner of Chittagong introduce signboards, billboards, and advertisement writing in Bengali everywhere in Chittagong.
On Monday (February 12), in a discussion meeting held in the conference room of the Deputy Commissioner, Dr. Freedom Fighter and researcher of the Liberation War, This demand was made under the leadership of Mahfuzur Rahman.
At that time, Deputy Commissioner Abul Basar Mohammad Fakhruzzaman assured them that he would request name plaques in Bengali in government offices as well as private and privately owned institutions for this purpose. He also said that a notification will be issued soon for the introduction of Bengali at all levels. There is no alternative to using the Bengali language at all levels.

Dr. Mahfuzur Rahman, Convenor of the Public Rights Practice Center, said in his speech that the use of Bengali at all levels is established by the constitution, laws, and court directives. Member Secretary Moshiur Rahman Khan said in his speech that it is the need of the hour to ensure the use of Bengali at all levels. Besides, other members of the People’s Rights Practice Center gave their speeches.
Chittagong District Commissioner, in his speech at the beginning, remembered the martyrs Salam, Barkat, Shafiq, etc. in the language movement of 1952 with deep respect. He said in his speech that Bangladesh is the only country in the world where the streets are painted with the fresh blood of the chest for language. Our mother tongue, Bengali, is universally accepted today. International Mother Language Day is celebrated all over the world on February 21st every year. The public use of Bengali is established by the Ministry of Public Administration and the judgment of the Supreme Court. We are all working to ensure universal use of the Bengali language. Professor Idris Ali, District Unit Commander of the Freedom Fighters Congress, AKM Sarwar Kamal, and others were present in this exchange meeting.
