Dhaka Bureau: SSC and equivalent exams will start on February 15. The Ministry of Education has ordered the closure of all the coaching centers in the country from today (February 13) to March 12 in order to complete the examination in a fair, beautiful, and rumor-free environment.
This decision was taken recently in the National Monitoring and Law and Order Committee meeting. This committee has been formed to complete the SSC examination in a positive environment.
It was decided in the meeting that the Central Secretary can use a normal (feature) phone without the facility of taking pictures or using the Internet. Action will be taken against unauthorized phone or electronic device users as per the rules. Officers, teachers, and employees engaged in receiving and transporting question papers from the Treasury police station cannot use any phone, and a black glass microbus or any other vehicle cannot be used for carrying question papers.
Besides, an Executive Magistrate and a Tag Officer will be appointed for each center. The tag officer will take out the questions from the Treasury, police station custody, along with the center secretary, and take all the sets of questions to the center under the police guard. The question set code will be announced 25 minutes before the start of the exam. Accordingly, the center secretary, tag officer, and police officer will open the question paper packet as per the rules.
The law enforcement agencies and the relevant departments of the government will strengthen surveillance on the rumors related to question paper leaks on social media or the activities of the gangs active in this work. Law enforcement and district administration will take strict legal action against those involved in leaking question papers or providing answers to candidates.
During the examination, teachers, students, and staff will be prohibited from using mobile phones, watches, pens, or any electronic device without the permission of the examination center within 200 yards of the examination center. Immediate action will be taken against the violators.
If it is necessary to provide any specific information regarding the preparation of the exam, the coordinator of the inter-board, the public relations officer of the Ministry of Education, Mohammad Abul Khair, and the public relations officer of the technical and madrasa education departments will do so. Media will be provided through Zahid Hossain.
