All the leaders and public representatives of Chittagong were present at the extended meeting

The Crime Desk: A special extended meeting of the Awami League was held yesterday morning at Ganobhaban after winning 223 seats in the 12th National Assembly elections and forming the government for the fourth consecutive time. The party chairwoman, Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina, attended the special extended meeting with Chittagong, the Foreign Minister, and the Joint General Secretary of the Awami League. Hasan Mahmud, Education Minister Barrister Mohibul Hasan Chowdhury Naufel, and Chittagong City Corporation Mayor Bir Muktijoddha M. Rezaul Karim Chowdhury, Chittagong District Council Chairman ATM Payrul Islam, North District Awami League President MA Salam, and Metropolitan Awami League President Bir Muktijoddha Mahtab Uddin Chowdhury, South District Awami League President Motaherul Islam Chowdhury, South District Awami League General Secretary Mofizur Rahman, and North District Awami League General Secretary Sheikh Ataur Rahman. The general secretary of the Metropolitan Awami League and former mayor, AJM Nashir Uddin, was out of the country, so he was not present in this meeting.

All members of the parliament of Chittagong, the chairman of 15 upazila parishads, the president-general secretary of 15 police stations in the metropolis, convenors, joint convenors, and 30 president-general secretaries of 15 upazilas in the north and south districts were present in the meeting.

After attending an extended meeting of the party’s trinamool at Ganobhaban, General Secretary of Chittagong North District Awami League Sheikh Ataur Rahman told the media that Awami League President Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina has ordered party leaders and workers to forget the differences created around the National Assembly elections and work together.

It is to be noted that a total of 109 leaders and public representatives participated in the extended meeting of Ganobhaban, along with 33 presidents-general secretaries, convenors, and joint convenors of 15 police stations in the metropolis, along with the president of the Awami League, Mahtab Uddin Chowdhury. The leaders traveled to Dhaka in an AC bus and finally returned.
