Dhaka Bureau: The MBBS admission test for the 2023–24 academic year will be held in government and private medical colleges tomorrow, Friday. This exam will be held simultaneously at 44 venues in 19 centers of the country for one hour from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m.

The health minister said that the MBBS admission test for the academic year 2023–24 will be held tomorrow, Friday. 5 thousand 380 seats in 37 government medical colleges and a total of 6 thousand 295 seats in 67 medical colleges approved at the private level will be held in this admission test.
He said that digitization of the admissions process has been undertaken with the objective of bringing transparency to the MBBS admissions process, stopping harassment and irregularities of genuine students, and ensuring admission of meritorious students. The last few years of online admissions and digitization in government medical colleges have stopped the leakage of question papers and made it possible to complete the admission process through a transparent process.
Samant Lal Sen said that in order to prevent irregularities in the admission process and to stop collecting extra money from the students, the program of digitalization of the admission process of private medical colleges was taken in the academic year 2022–23. As the MBBS admission process in the academic year 2022–23 in private medical colleges has started online through digitization, the harassment, irregularities, and extra money collection of genuine students have been stopped, and the matter has been widely appreciated by the people as the opportunity has been created to ensure the admission of meritorious students.
Admission Test Information:
The truck carrying the question papers will have an electronic device, through which the process of bringing the question papers from the directorate to the examination center will be monitored.
The center/venue gate will open at 8 a.m. on the day of the examination. No candidate will be allowed to enter the hall after 9:30 a.m.
Candidates should carry a color-printed copy of their admit card.
There will be a separate screening of all candidates at the center or venue.
Candidates cannot enter with any electronic device other than an admit card and a ballpoint pen. For that purpose, the entry of students will be monitored through archways along with metal detectors.
When the students start entering the examination center or venue at 8 a.m., the room invigilators will stay in the responsible room, match the face of the candidate with the watermark and color photo of the candidate on the admit card, and grant permission to enter the examination room. Officials in charge at the center will be present and confirm the matter.
During the examination, candidates, invigilators, and venue officials, including the officials of the ministry or department, cannot carry mobiles, electronic devices, Bluetooth, earphones, etc. or enter the center in any way.
No person other than the person concerned with the admission test will be allowed to enter the admission test center or venue.
Since January 10, 2024, offline coaching centers have been closed by operating mobile courts with the support of district administration. Also, law enforcement and intelligence agencies will continue to act to stop online coaching and prevent cyber crime.
Photocopy machines around the examination centers will be closed on the day of the examination.
Legal action will be taken against anyone found involved in any kind of malpractice, cheating, or rumor-mongering related to a medical admission test.
