Sukanth Bikas Dhar, Satkania: During his studies, in 2018, he started a business by setting up a garment manufacturing factory with eight lakh rupees given by his father. Currently, the capital of this business stands at more than 20 lakh rupees. The dream was to expand the scope of the business by forming a company through this business. But that hope was not fulfilled. That dream has burned with fire. Today, Maymun Arafat has lost everything. The incident took place due to an electrical short-circuit fire in the Deodighi Bazar area of Eochia Union last Monday (February 5) in Chittagong’s Satkania.

Maymun Arafat, the owner of the factory, said, I went home after my daily work. When I got the news of the fire, I came to the factory and saw that everything was burned to ashes due to the electrical short-circuit fire. 800 sacks of rice, factory parts, various items, and houses, including 20 lakhs of damages, have been caused.

Arafat also said, Currently, I am studying MBA at Bandarban Government College. I wanted to become an educated businessman. But he came to an end at the beginning. The elderly mother and father are at home, along with their younger sister. The wheels of the whole world were running from the earnings of the factory. Do not understand what to do now! I was helpless now.

Satkania Fire Service and Civil Defense Senior Station Officer Humayun Karnayen said the fire started from an electrical short circuit. After receiving the information, the fire was completely brought under control by going to the spot.
