Noakhali Correspondent: In the Charwapda Union of Subarnachar Upazila of Noakhali, a mother and daughter were accused of rape by cutting the wall of the house. Two of the three-member gang raped the housewife (29) and one raped her daughter (12). At that time, a pair of earrings, a nose flower, and cash worth 17 thousand 225 taka were looted from their house.
The incident took place in a new house in Charkaji Mokhlesh village around 2 a.m. on Monday. The victim woman is a mother of three children, and the abused child is a fifth-grade student at a local primary school.
According to police and local sources, a day laborer came from Hatia and built a new house in Charkaji Mokhlesh village a few months ago. He lived in that house with his wife and three children. Sometimes the day laborer used to come back home after 2-3 days when he went to work in different places. Two days ago, he went out of the house in search of work. At that time, the housewife was with three daughters at home. At around 2 a.m., someone broke into the house and entered. Later, he opened the door of the room, and two others entered. Two of them took turns raping the housewife and one of her daughters. After the rape, they tied the hands, feet, and face of the housewife and looted the gold and cash from the house. In the late night, on the screams of the children, the neighbors came and untied the housewife, and the matter was reported to the Charjabbar police station, and the police reached the spot.
Rafiqul Islam, OC of the Charjabbar police station, confirmed the matter and said that after receiving the information, the police rushed to the spot at night. Police remained at the scene until Tuesday morning. The victims were brought to the police station in the morning. They will be sent to Noakhali General Hospital for treatment and examination. A case will be registered in this incident, and efforts are underway to identify and arrest the accused.
