My father is innocent and oppressed: daughter of Yunus

The Crime Desk: Dr. before the bail application in the case of a violation of labor law. Yunus’ daughter, Monica Yunus, was interviewed by the British free-to-air public broadcast television channel ‘Channel Four’. Monika Yunus said, ‘My father is being harassed. He is innocent and oppressed’.

Monica Yunus said in the interview that my father wanted to change the world. He wanted to eradicate poverty. This was my father’s dream. He dedicated his entire life to the organization and the workers to fulfill the dream. He said that people will not go after jobs because jobs are not compatible with people. A man is an entrepreneur.

Three more of his colleagues have also been charged with siding with him. But the court could not prove any of the allegations.

In response to the question of whether their father is involved in any politics or facing political threats, Monica Yunus said, “My father is not involved in any political party.” Once, he wanted to join politics. Later, he realized that politics was not for him. So he does not want to go into politics in the future. He always wanted to go above politics and do something for people.

He also said, Dr. Yunus discovered something new. He is the originator of the concept of microcredit. Apart from microcredit, he introduced other banking systems, including home loans, fish farms, and irrigation credit schemes.

Meanwhile, he surrendered to the Labor Appeal Tribunal and got bail until the case was settled. Four people, including Yunus. He presented 25 arguments against the sentence of 6 months imprisonment without labor in the case of a violation of labor law.

On January 1, Dr. Labor Law Section 303 (E). Yunus was sentenced to a maximum of 6 months imprisonment without labor and 10 days imprisonment without payment of a fine of 5 thousand rupees. On the other hand, under Section 307, the court sentenced him to 15 days of imprisonment without paying a fine of 25 thousand taka.

After surrendering to the labor appeal tribunal on January 28, the Nobel Peace Prize-winning economist got bail until the case was settled. Four people, including Muhammad Yunus.
