Sukanth Bikash Dhar, Satkania: Shyamal Datta, the editor of the country’s renowned national daily Bhorer paper and general secretary of the National Press Club, born in Satkania, Chittagong, has been elected as the president of the shrine committee appointed to manage the Adinath Tirth of Maheshkhali in Cox’s Bazar and the Chandranath Tirthdham of Sitakunda in Chittagong.
Last Saturday (January 27) in the conference room of the Chittagong District Judge’s Court, he was elected as the president of the new executive committee by the unanimous decision of all those present.
As Shyamal Dutta was elected as the president, Chittagong-15 Constituency Member of Parliament MA Motaleb CIP, Acting Chairman of Satkania Upazila Anjuman Ara, Chittagong Mother and Child Hospital Professor, and Chittagong South District Awami League Executive Council Member Professor Dr. AMM Minhajur Rahman, Satkania Mayor of the municipality. Rup Kumar Nandi Khokon, Shyamal Dutta, Vijay Kumar Nandi Sagar, and journalist Sukant Vikas Dhar, on behalf of Jobair, Sanatani Samaj, were congratulated.
