The British Parliament delegation is going to Bangabandhu’s tomb

Dhaka Bureau: A delegation of five members of the British Parliament is going to Tungipara to visit the tomb of Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman. Today, Saturday, the delegation arrived in Dhaka on a five-day visit.
 
For the first time, a delegation of the British Parliament is going to Tungipara. The five-member parliamentary delegation, led by former UK Tech and Digital Economy Minister Paul Scully MP, includes Labor MPs Virender Sharma, Neil Coyle, and Andrew Western.

The delegation also includes House of Commons Opposition Whip and Senior Parliamentary Assistant Dominic Moffitt, Queen’s Commonwealth Trust Advisor Zillur Hossain, and Connect CEO Dr. Evelina Banyalyeva.

Foreign Minister at noon. The delegation will have a courtesy meeting with Hasan Mahmud. During the visit, they will also have a meeting with State Minister for Commerce Ahsanul Islam.


Members of the British Parliament will meet Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina tomorrow at Ganabhaban. During their visit to Bangladesh, they will visit the Rohingya camp. Later, the delegation will also visit Sylhet.

After the tour, they are scheduled to leave Dhaka on January 31.
