Own Correspondent: A college student named Tashmin Akhtar (17) committed suicide by drinking pesticides in Lohagara, South Chittagong. This student drank pesticide in her residence in the Jotpukur area of Ward No. 4 of the Charamba Union of the Upazila on Saturday, January 20.
After drinking the pesticide, the relatives immediately gave him first aid at Lohagara Upazila Health Complex. Later on, on the way to take her to the Chittagong Medical College Hospital for better treatment, the college student, who was seriously affected by the pesticide, died.
According to local people, this college student chose the path of suicide due to a quarrel with her mother, Noor Nahar. The college girl is said to be the daughter of deceased Abul Hashem and a 1st year student at Bar Auliya Degree College of the Upazila.
According to local residents, Abul Hashem, the father of this college girl, also committed suicide by drinking pesticides four years ago. That, too, is said to be centered around family feuds.
