Prime Minister’s Tribute at Bangabandhu’s Tomb

Gopalganj Correspondent: Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina paid tribute at the tomb of Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman at Tungipara in Gopalganj. On Saturday (January 13) at 11:50 a.m., he paid tribute by placing a wreath.

Meanwhile, a smart team of three forces provided a guard of honor. Later, the Prime Minister participated in the recitation of Surah Fateha and special prayer, seeking the peace of the souls of Bangabandhu and his family members and the martyrs who sacrificed their lives in the Great Liberation War.

Later, she paid her respects at Bangabandhu’s tomb with her sister Sheikh Rehana as the party chief. Awami League General Secretary and Road Transport and Bridges Minister Obaidul Quader, Liberation War Affairs Minister AKM Mozammel Haque, Finance Minister Abul Hasan Mahmud Ali, Law Minister Anisul Haque, Industries Minister Nurul Majid Mahmud Humayun, Home Minister Asaduzzaman Khan Kamal, Local Government Minister Md. Tajul Islam, Civil Aviation and Tourism Minister Muhammad Farooq Khan, and Foreign Minister. Hasan Mahmud, Social Welfare Minister Dr. Dipu Moni, Food Minister Sadhan Chandra Majumdar, Planning Minister Abdus Salam, Religion Minister Md. Faridul Islam, Textile and Jute Minister Jahangir Kabir Nanak, Health Minister Dr. Samanta Lal Sen, and Minister of Railways. Jillul Hakim, Minister of Public Administration. Farhad Hossain, Environment, Forest, and Climate Change Minister Saber Hossain Chowdhury, Education Minister Mahibur Hasan Chowdhury, and others were present.

Earlier, Sheikh Hasina left for Tungipara from Ganabhaban on a two-day official visit around 9 a.m. He reached Tungipara around 11:30 a.m.

According to the tour schedule, the Prime Minister will exchange greetings with leaders and activists at the Tungipara Upazila Awami League office today at 3 p.m.

He will go from Tungipara to Kotalipara by road on the second day of the tour on Sunday at 2 p.m. He will leave Kotalipara for Dhaka after exchanging greetings with the leaders and activists at the Upazila Parishad ground.
