Cox’s Bazar district Awami League issued a temporary exemption and show-cause notice against him on charges of breach of discipline. In view of that, the response to the notice by Zafar Alam was not accepted, as Cox’s Bazar District Awami League was not satisfied.
In view of this, the Central Executive Council was requested through the general secretary of the Awami League to take final organizational measures in this regard.
Incidentally, the current Member of Parliament, Zafar Alam, did not get the boat nomination this time. He became an independent candidate. Instead, the boat was given to Salahuddin Ahmed. There is no candidate for the boat as his nomination was canceled due to a loan default. Kalyan Party Chairman Syed Muhammad Ibrahim is a candidate for this seat.
