Mymensingh Correspondent: Four members of the same family, including two children, died due to electrocution in Mymensingh’s Nandail.
They were electrocuted in Birghoshpala village of Chandipasha union of the upazila around 3 p.m. on Saturday, December 30.
The deceased are Jamal Uddin (32), his mother Anwara Begum (65), his infant daughter Anika Akhter (4), and Mocha Faiza (6).
Chairman of Chandipasha Union Parishad Shahab Uddin Bhuiyan said that the deceased Jamal Uddin was the child of a helpless, poor family. He used to earn his living by driving autorickshaws. He used to pay autorickshaw charges at his own house. Jamal Uddin went to take the autorickshaw out of the house around 3 p.m. today. Jamal Uddin was electrocuted due to carelessness and the electrocution of the autorickshaw. Jamal Uddin was electrocuted when his daughters Anika and Faiza ran to their father to save Jamal Uddin. At that time, Jamal Uddin’s mother, Anwara Begum, caught her sons and grandsons, and she also died on the spot.
Officer-in-Charge (OC) of Nandale Model Police Station Abdul Majeed said, We went to the spot after hearing the news of the deaths of four members of the same family due to electrocution. The bodies have been recovered. This is very tragic. Legal action is being taken.
