The Crime Desk: Christmas, the main religious festival for Christians, has started with prayers.
The Christmas festivities began at around 8 a.m. on Monday (December 25) with prayers at St. Mary’s Cathedral Church in the capital’s Cockrail. Prayers glorify Jesus and speak of peace and justice. At this time, prayers are also offered for world peace.
Christians gather in the church early in the morning to participate in prayers. Abal-Vriddha-Vanita came to the church at dawn.
Prayers started at 7 a.m. at Tejgaon Dharmapalli Church in the Farmgate area. Many Christians participated in this prayer, which lasted for more than an hour. Besides, Christians are celebrating Christmas in all the churches in the country under strict security.
