Nagar Reporter: Five coaches of a freight train derailed towards Tongi in the Uttara Khan area of the capital.
The accident happened on Monday (December 25) around 10 a.m.
Tongi Railway Police Outpost SI Chhotan Sharma said that a freight train leaving from Dhaka was going to Chittagong. At one stage, the freight train derailed in the Uttarkhan area in front of the Tongi Railway Bridge. No casualties were reported. The rescue team has been informed.
Hanif Ali, Station Master of Joydevpur Railway Junction, said that train movement is normal as a result of the freight train accident.
